Discover Financial Services - More Than A Credit Card Company
from:Discover financial services are more than just the Discover credit card that is accepted all over the world. Discover financial services offers electronic payment options as well as providing financial support services for the more than 50 million card members. The Discover financial services also offers debit card service, ATM access and many security features that make a Discover credit or debit card a very useful product for both businesses and individuals.
The Discover financial services first started operation in 1986 and was first introduced at the Super Bowl. The Discover card was designed to be a low cost, highly recognized credit card that would be accepted as globally as MasterCard and Visa were and are accepted. The demand for a no fee, low interest card was the key factors in the development of the Discover card. They were also one of the first major credit card companies to offer a rebate or cash back option on the card.

Discover has several different lines of cards all with their own features, rewards and incentives for users. Customers can choose the card that best fits their spending needs and requirements. This flexibility can include air miles rewards for amounts spent, refunds on gas and car expenses, rebates for good financial management and cards designed especially for small business owners.
In addition to the credit cards, debit cards and gift cards Discover financial services also offers online and electronic bill pay and account management. The Payments Division of Discover financial services works with merchants and retailers to help increase customer sales by offering a variety of payment options including secure networking and transactions. Fraud prevention, recurring billing, and cash back options for merchants that honor the Discover card or a card the Discover partners with has been instrumental in making Discover financial services one of the largest credit and debit bill payment management companies in the United States.
Finally Discover financial services also manages, secures and owns the PULSE ATM system for consumers, banks and businesses. Most credit cards or debit cards can be used through any PULSE ATM terminal, making it easy to withdraw money or funds from personal, business or corporate accounts worldwide. PULSE ATM terminals can be found at most major airports both nationally and internationally.
